Steven A. Schuman

Professional Profile

Steve Schuman specializes in complex business litigation, with an emphasis on real estate. He also has significant experience in dealing with asset protection issues, and has handled numerous fraudulent conveyance and alter-ego actions, both for plaintiffs and defendants. Although the majority of Steve’s work is in the trial court, he has also handled numerous complex appeals.

Steve graduated from U.C. Berkeley with an honors degree in economics, and also spent a year abroad at St. Andrew University in Scotland. He began working at Leonard & Dicker as a law clerk on June 1, 1987, while still a student at UCLA Law School. He graduated 6th in his class in law school, was admitted to the Bar in December 1989, and began with the firm as an associate. He became a partner in 2000.

Outside of work, Steve’s interests include running, evolution and brain science, Japanese language and culture.
